About Akuamma Powder
Akuamma seeds (also called by the formal plant name, Picralima Nitida) have been used as a natural discomfort relief remedy for many generations. Native to western African nations such as Ghana, Cte d'Ivoire, Congo, Zaire and Cameroon, Akuamma seeds impact the mu opioid receptors in the brain, making them effective for those who are seeking a natural alternative to opiate painkillers.
The seeds are harvested from the Akuamma tree, which is fairly short and dense, making it more similar to a shrub than a tree. The fruit is cut open and the seeds are extracted by hand. They are traditionally sun-dried.
Akuamma seeds, which are sometimes called vincamajoridine, contain several powerful alkaloids, including akuammine, akuammidine, akuammicine, akuammigine, pseudo-akuammigine and pericine, amongst others. The primary alkaloid, akuammine, has a chemical structure that is very similar to mitragynine, one of the primary alkaloids contained within kratom.
If you prefer we do also carry Whole Akuamma Seeds.

Akuamma seeds’ effects are described as opiate-like in nature, providing discomfort relief, relaxation and promoting sleep.
The appropriate akuamma dosage will vary depending upon your pain level and tolerance level. The typical dosage averages between 4 to 8 grams.
The powder can then be placed into a capsule as Akuamma seeds do have a very bitter taste, so most prefer this dosing methods to avoid experiencing the bitterness.
