Kanna
Before you could buy Sceletium Tortuosum (Kanna) online, Kanna was a popular South African succulent that had long been valued by native cultures for its stimulating, calming, and soothing properties. An attractive groundcover plant, Kanna has white flowers with yellow centers and delicate, thread-like petals.

The Kanna that we offer at Kratora is produced by drying the leaves and grinding them into a silky-smooth powder. We also offer a 10x Kanna extract and fermented Kanna which has been fermented for seven days before being dried and ground into a powder.
Buying Sceletium Tortuosum From Kratora: Local Wisdom for a Modern World
For hundreds of years, the nomadic-pastoralist Khoikhoi tribe of the area around the Cape gathered Kanna from where it grew in the wild and sewed it in sheepskins to ferment for seven days. They would then use the fermented leaves for a boost in energy and natural pain relief while walking from place-to-place with their families and livestock.
The Kanna tradition continues in South Africa today where cultivated Kanna can be purchased as a supplement. Among the locals, the plant is referred to as channa or kuogoed, meaning “chewable” — referring to one way in which the plant has traditionally been enjoyed.

I discovered kanna through the ethnobotanical alternatives pack and kanna. Became one of my favorites. The taste is much better than kratom and the effects are a bit subtler but it’s nice if you’re just looking to relax and try something new!

I was skeptical. However this was a very nice surprise. Doesn’t seem to last as long as kratom but it is a nice boost. Happy I added it with my last order.
